Suzuki readies new crossover for Paris motor show
Suzuki will be unveiling a new crossover model, albeit in concept form,at the Paris Motor Show. The S-Cross is expected to provide a close-to-production preview of the new car, which is set to replace the current SX4 when it goes into production sometime during 2013.
While very little is known about the new C-segment hatchback, apart from its role as the successor to the SX4, Suzuki has now released an official sketch as a teaser ahead of the S-Cross concept car’s show reveal.
The sketch does highlight some important aspects of the vehicle, although it is clear that it depicts the car in an early stage of development.
Suzuki claims that emotion, quality and aerodynamics were the core attributes considered during the design and development of the S-Cross, and those are certainly evident from the sketch.
The car looks to be sculpted from sleeker lines that the SX4, with a higher waistline and a wrap-around front-end appearance. Reinforcing the S-Cross’s crossover identity are prominent protective body mouldings and a front-mounted skid plate.
Apart from replacing one of Suzuki’s best selling cars, the S-Cross will also offer us a glimpse into the future face of Suzuki’s vehicles.
